...Or... make sure he has enough fun in it himself that he feels it worth paying a couple of decades of studen loans. Headache

Well, you picked a very nice make! I like SeaRay. I got a job, briefly, selling SeaRay 38' plus Sport Yachts and Yachts at MarineMax in Wilmington, NC back in 2001. Got the job, then it was a family decision not to move after all, and went into appraisal instead. Shoulda stayed there and sold big boats.

Fell in love with a 38' SunDancer on the demo run... man, what a boat. The last part of my job interview the owner took me out on a SD38, stopped the boat and said... "OK, sell me this boat." Talk about 'on-the-spot'. I used a line I learned selling copy machines for Lanier3M back in the 80's, and I suppose he liked it enough... to offer me the job.

SeaRay's a leader in high tech manufacturing and design. Several plants in Florida.

With a lotto win I'd get a SunDancer 43 and just travel the intercoastal from Key West to Wisconsin... The Sea Ray motto is... Where Land Ends Life Begins. Ain't it the truth?

Also picked up a used vehicle to tow her with.(Hitch will be installed tomorrow) My Miata won't suffice.Heheheeee

Sea Rays are nice stuff. Especially the blue water boats. They use fiberglass cloth versus sprayed in fiberglass. 17.5 ft, don't go too far out Ani. I used to have a Sportcraft 17.5 ft centerconsole bluewater fishing boat, and got caught 3 miles off Chatham, not a fun ride back in. Wish I was in something bigger in the 4ft chop we were in.

Finally had good weather today. Took the new boat out today, drove past John Travoltas florida home in Boca Grande
This is a prime spot for Hammerhead Shark fishing, but didn't see any. I did see a shiatload of dolphins. The water is still dayum cold 58dF. But will hit the mid to upper 80's come summer. Wind was calm so the water was nice and smooth no more than 2ft swells. Lotsa People on the beach at Boca Grande Pass. Still breaking in the new motor, so I did'nt push her over 3000rpm . But still got just over 30mph at 3k with plenty more to go (once broken in). This is a fine boat.

Sea Rays rock!!!!

Now I'm starting to remember why I moved here.

Sweet! I had a 19.5 ft SeaRay just like that one. SeaRay makes a great boat. Mine never saw the ocean just rivers and lakes in Oregon. I loved that thing. Gave me much joy. Enjoy!
